That you may be Filled with all the Fullness of God

Navigate and Avoid Traps

Today it is easier to confuse a lie with the truth and what is wrong with what is right. In fact, except by the grace of God and the power of His Holy Spirit, believers in Christ can be misguided and get caught up in the flow. But, what if we actually separated ourselves unto the Holy Spirit to navigate the current terrain and avoid falling into the trap of deception, being deceived, deceiving ourselves and others.

I love the MSG version of Ephesians 3:17-19 https://my.bible.com/bible/1/EPH.3.17-19 which says

The focus is that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

No space for things contrary to God's word to operate in our lives.

Can you imagine being filled with ALL the fullness of God? The enemy would have no space or opportunity to operate in or lives. Can you imagine the unquenched power of the Holy Spirit working through you? We would be vessels to do the same and even greater things than the disciples of the early Church. However, today's world and culture and new norms brings with it subtle and convenient distractions. Sometimes people put up appearances but in truth seek their self-interest. Believers having acknowledged and confessed, often struggle with things from which they have not been delivered. But if we are filled with all the fullness of God, our thoughts, feelings, desires, are under his control with little or no space for anything else to operate in our lives. Very little is spoken of holiness today. Almost as if it is unattainable. Someone asked me, "Does that mean there are perfect people on earth". While I have no physical evidence, I can only rely on God's word. God demands it of us because it is possible.

Again, I love the message version, 1 Peter 1:15-16 says:

My response is, and I encourage you friend, to get down on my/your knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. Ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. Remember friend, it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. What does this mean? It means, that energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights!

Live full lives, full in the fullness of God
